The Basic Court in Prizren, Department of Juveniles has determined the measure of detention against the minor A. Osmanaj, for a duration of one (1) month, which may last until 14.07.2026, due to the criminal offense of aggravated murder, Gazeta e Prizren reports.

The juvenile judge, after having reviewed all the case documents and heard them the claims of the parties in the session for the determination of the security measure, has come to the conclusion that the request of the State Prosecutor’s Office for the appointment of detention is well-founded.

The juvenile judge has come to the conclusion that the determination of the measure of
detention at this stage is based on the law, and reasonable, and will ensure the unhindered development of the course of the preparatory procedure, and ensuring the presence of the minor before the institutions of justice.

“Note: The court in the afternoon of 15.06.2026, also accepted the request for the determination of the measure of detention for two (2) other defendants, Sh. O., due to based on the suspicion that the same has committed the criminal offense of “Aggravated Murder” in complicity under Article 173 par.1 under par. 1.5 in relation to Article 31 of the KPRK, as well as against the suspect A.O., who is in detention for 48 hours, due to the based suspicion that she has committed the criminal offense of “Aggravated Murder” under article 173 par.1 under par. 1.5 related to Article 32 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK).

This request will be handled by the Department for Serious Crimes, and the judge of the preliminary procedure, within the legal deadline, will schedule the hearing for the determination of the security measure”, the announcement states. /Gazeta e Prizren
