Kosovo Police has made a statement regarding the incident that happened last night in Mitrovica, where a woman had fallen into the Ibër River, near the Ibri Bridge, and was saved thanks to the quick response of the police.

According to the Police, the case was reported around 10:00 p.m., while police units responded immediately by going to the scene. The citizen was found on the riverbed and pulled out of the water, avoiding the danger to her life.

The police have informed that, according to the victim’s statement, she had accidentally slipped and ended up in the Ibër river.

The same woman was sent for medical treatment to the Regional Hospital of Mitrovica, where her health condition is stable and out of danger.

Police units have announced that they are undertaking the actions necessary for the full clarification of the circumstances of the case.
