The engineer from Skopje launches the first application that translates the Koran word for word into Albanian

Monday, February 16th 2026

Metin Ferati, a software engineer from Skopje, together with his team has launched the “Albanian Qur’an” application, which offers the complete Qur’an with a word-for-word translation in the Albanian language.

The application enables the reading of the Qur’an as in the Mus’haf, with the possibility for the user to click on each word and see its meaning in Albanian.

The word-for-word translation was made by Ustadhi Jahja Hondozi, while the application also offers two complete verse-by-verse translations by Hasan Nahi and Yahja Hondozi.

Among other features, users can save favorite words and verses, easily navigate between the 114 surahs, and continue reading where they left off.

“The goal has been to understand what we are reading and to be as easy to use as possible for everyone,” says Ferati.

The application is completely free, no ads and no registration required. It is currently available for iPhone through the App Store, while the Android version is expected soon.
