23 Kosovo policemen engaged at the border point “Qafë Morinë” have sat in the dock to face the accusations of accepting bribes raised by the Special Prosecutor’s Office. The indictment in this case was filed in December 2023.

A video recording was presented to the Court as evidence, where the two accused policemen are seen taking bribes.

Ahmet Kasumaj, Ahmet Shabanaj, Agim Hadërgjonaj, Besim Lokaj, Demë Lokaj, Fatmir Sadiku, Fazli Gjonbalaj, Gani Ahmeti, Gëzim Hoxhaj, Gëzim Shabani, Gëzim Turkaj, Haki Dobraj, Hamëz Puka, Hysen Hasani, Isa Dobraj, Ismet Tahiraj, Lush Himaj, Mërgim Bekaj, Rasim Tolaj, Skënder Meta, Xhemë Hadërgjonaj, Xhevdet Haklaj and Valon Hoxhaj, are the border policemen who are being accused of taking bribes in this case. the quality of official persons, police officers, in complicity have misused their official duties by accepting bribes from the citizens of Kosovo and Albania.

These actions the Prosecution claims to have been carried out in the time period from August 2021 to January 2022.
