The Albanian national football team has recorded 2 losses in a row at “Air Albania”, marking a negative start that has not been seen for many decades for a coach in his debut.  

Rolando Maran has today become the coach with the weakest start in the direction since Armand Duka became the president of the AFL, since never before had it happened that a coach chosen by him failed in two consecutive matches. All the more friendly and all the more both in the capital with two teams that are ranked below the Reds and Blacks in the FIFA classification.

The last time when a coach has lost his debut matches, it was in the distant year 1997, when Albania played as a “host” in Granada, Spain, the matches against Ukraine and Germany, valid for the 1998 World Cup qualifiers. Albania lost respectively 1-0 and 3-2 in those matches under Astri Hafiz. Since then, every subsequent coach had not recorded a loss, until Maran’s moment came in the direction of the Rossoneri.
