The Basic Court in Prishtina has announced that it has scheduled the initial hearing in the criminal case PS.nr.48/25, which is related to the indictment filed by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo against 21 persons accused of war crimes against the civilian population.
According to the official announcement, the indictment was filed on August 15, 2025 and includes the defendants: Zlatomir Pešić, Mladen Cirković, Radomir Marković, Duško Adamović, Obrad Stevanović, Živko Trajković, Goran Radosavljević, Bogoljub Janičević, Slaviša Ivanović, Boško Vukićević, Sreten Popović, Nikolla Petrović, Krsman Jelić, Ljubiša Stojimirović, Božidar Delić, Radojko Stefanović, Dragan Živanović, Miloš Ðošan, Ljubinko Cvetić, Božidar Filić and Milovan Kovačević. against the civilian population”, provided for in Article 142 of the Criminal Law of the former SFRY, which according to the current legislation of Kosovo is related to Articles 144, 145, 146 and 147 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The court announced that, at the proposal of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, the trial is expected to take place in the absence of the accused, as they have been inaccessible to the justice bodies until the moment of the indictment.
Through the communique, the authorities have called on the accused to appear before the prosecuting authorities in Kosovo, while citizens who have information about their location are asked to report it to the Kosovo Police or to other competent institutions.
The initial hearing will be held on July 1, 2026, at 09:00, in the Palace of Justice in Hajvali, Building D, first floor, room no. 17, and will be led by the president of the trial panel, Medie Bytyqi.
The court has also announced that the indictment and the invitations to the session have been published on the official website of the court and in the Official Gazette, while the public was promised continuous information on the further developments of this case.
