During today, Kosovo Customs has announced that it has destroyed 4,000 pieces of counterfeit washing and cleaning products, which carried the “Ariel” trademark in an unauthorized manner.
The goods in question have been seized by customs officials after identifying suspicions of infringement of intellectual property rights, reports Klankosova.tv.
After verifications carried out in cooperation with the competent authorities and rights holders, as well as after the completion of legal procedures, customs says that the competent court has issued a decision for their destruction.
“Counterfeit products, especially those in the category of cleaning preparations, pose a potential risk to the health of citizens and public safety, as they are not subject to the necessary quality controls and safety standards. The destruction of these goods was carried out in full accordance with the legislation in force and under customs supervision, with the aim of preventing their distribution and use in market”, says the announcement.
