Two people lost their lives as a result of contact with the current

The Police Station in Deçan on 28.06.2026, around 8:40 p.m., was notified by the KKMF-Deçan that two people were admitted who are suspected to have been injured by contact with the current, and the same were sent to the regional hospital in Pejë.

Investigators of the Regional Sector for Investigations DRP-Pejë, they went to the scene, where it is suspected that while the victims were cleaning the car in their yard, they fell in contact with the current, after being sent to the emergency room of the regional hospital in Pejë, by the medical team around 9:20 p.m., the death of the two victims was confirmed.

By order of the prosecutor of the State, the victims were sent to the institute of forensic medicine in Pristina for autopsy, the case continues to be investigated by competent units.
