Weekly balance sheet of the Police in Pristina – 170 ordinances carried out and thousands of traffic fines

The Kosovo Police in the Pristina region has intensified operational actions during the last week, implementing a large number of court orders and taking measures to combat illegal activities.

According to official data, during this period 170 orders issued by the courts have been executed. Some of them have had to do with criminal cases, while the other ordinances are related to misdemeanors, appearances in court hearings and various legal procedures.

After dealing with the cases, the persons who were sentenced to imprisonment were transferred to correctional institutions to serve the sentence, while those who had financial obligations were released after paying the prescribed fines.

In addition to the execution of the ordinances, the police also took actions for the confiscation of illegal weapons. During the week, seven firearms of various types were seized, as well as ammunition that was suspected of being held in violation of the law.

In the field of road safety, the authorities have recorded a large number of violations of traffic rules. A total of 3,513 fines were imposed on vehicle drivers for various misdemeanors, while 660 of them were registered through intelligent monitoring systems and mobile radars.
