In technical terms, Kosovo is completely ready for visa liberalization.

Minister of European Integration in Kosovo Government, Bekim Çollaku, says the European Commission fact-finding mission has concluded that the country has met the remaining 8 recommendations for visa liberalization process.

Minister Çollaku’s comments came in an interview with newspaper ‘Zëri’, where he added that in technical terms, Kosovo is completely ready for visa liberalization and this fact, according to him, was confirmed by the European Commission during the reporting to EU member states.

While the process is expected to pass in the procedures of decision making within the EU institutions, all interlocutors, according to Çollaku, recommended preparation of the country and its people to manage the process after visa liberalization, as n this context, the EU member states will require strict monitoring of the process and prevention of abuse of the right to travel visa-free.
