The United States of America has asked its citizens to leave several countries in the Middle East as tensions in the region continue to rise.

In an official warning, the US embassy called on American citizens in Iraq to leave the country immediately.

“American citizens who choose to remain in Iraq are strongly encouraged to reconsider their decision in light of the significant threat posed by terrorist groups to militias linked to Iran,” the embassy statement said.

The warning comes at a time when Iran has launched attacks on US targets in several countries in the region.

According to reports, the US has asked its citizens to leave many countries in the Middle East.
