The President of the United States of America (US), Donald Trump, has canceled the sending of American envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, to Pakistan for talks with Iran, Fox News reported on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Iranian delegation has left Islamabad after holding meetings with Pakistani officials.
“You are not going to fly 18 hours to get there. We have all the papers. They can to call us whenever they want, but you’re not going to take 18-hour flights to stay talking about anything,” Trump said he told Kushner’s Witkoff.
A day earlier, White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt had stated that American envoys would travel to Pakistan to “listen to the Iranian side.”
