At least 42 students have been reported missing following an armed attack on a school in Borno State, northeastern Nigeria.
According to Senator Ali Ndume, 32 students were abducted from Musa Primary and Secondary School in Askira-Uba District during class time, while 10 others were taken from houses near the school.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for attack.
The event occurred on the same day when US President Donald Trump and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu announced the killing of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, one of the top leaders of the terrorist organization ISIS, during a military operation in Borno State.
Nigeria has been facing attacks by armed groups, especially Boko Haram and factions with ISIS, for 17 years, while large parts of the northeast of the country remain outside full state control. /message
