The military exercise “NATO-Serbia 2026” continues, which began on May 11 in the “Borovac” training area in the south of Serbia, in which the Turkish Armed Forces are also participating, reports Anadolu.

The Turkish Armed Forces are participating in the exercise with personnel from the 66th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command. The exercise included urban combat training, perimeter security, casualty evacuation and search and rescue.
Platoon Commander Infantry Lieutenant Onur Bilgili stated that they participated in the exercise with a 36-man unit to demonstrate Turkey’s high level of battlefield preparation and provided the following information:
“Our unit is fully equipped with weapons, vehicles and equipment manufactured in the country. Within the scope of the exercise, our personnel were equipped with the ‘Vuran’ tactical armored vehicle and the MPT 76 national infantry rifle, which are among the strongest examples of Turkey’s developing domestic weapons industry.
