Muslims in the Balkan countries welcomed Kurban Bayram with joy and a festive atmosphere, reports Anadolu.
Since the early hours of the morning, thousands of Muslim believers turned to mosques to pray the Eid prayer.
Believers gathered in squares and mosques in the capitals of the region, as well as in other cities, to participate in the prayers and prayers of one of the most important holidays. Islamic.
In Skopje and in many other cities of North Macedonia, thousands of believers offered the Eid al-Fitr prayer in mosques.
The central ceremony was organized by the Islamic Religious Community of North Macedonia and was held in the Mustafa Pasha Mosque in Skopje, where during the program verses from the Koran were read and ilahi were interpreted in several languages.

“Let this holiday be a moment of reflection, spiritual cleansing and moral revival for all of us. Let us sacrifice hatred for love, division for unity, selfishness for solidarity and indifference to human responsibility. Only then will we understand the true essence of Eid al-Fitr and live its message in the most worthy way.
After the Eid prayer, the citizens wished each other the holiday with messages of peace and love, while the Red Crescent also distributed lokum for the believers after the prayer.
However, the central ceremony for the Eid prayer in Albania was held on the Boulevard “Dëshmorët e Kombit” in Tirana, with the participation of thousands of believers.
Part of the central ceremony in Tirana were also the reading of the Koran, the lecture and the pulpit.
Also in the squares and mosques of other cities of Albania, programs were held for Kurban Bayram.
The Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, gathered hundreds of Muslim believers who participated in the Kurban Bayram prayer.
Even the Bajrakli Mosque, the only mosque in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, was filled with believers who came for the Eid prayer.
After the prayer, the believers continued the tradition of visiting family members and relatives, while the children celebrated with gifts and a festive atmosphere.
Kurban Bayram is also marked by the slaughter of the sacrifice as a symbol of devotion to God, a ritual associated with the time of the prophets Ibrahim and Ismail.
