Diego Maradona Jr. cheer for Palestine at a solidarity match in Naples

Diego Maradona Jr., the son of Argentine soccer legend Diego Armando Maradona, cheered in support of Palestine during a solidarity match held in Naples, Italy.

The event was held at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona stadium, where the team “Palestine Stars” faced a team made up of former Italian soccer players in a friendly. The meeting was also attended by some former players of the Palestinian national team, as well as the president of the Palestinian Football Federation, Jibril Rajoub.

During the match, Palestinian flags were waved in the stadium and calls were heard in support of freedom and justice for the Palestinian people. The organizers said that the activity aimed to show international solidarity with Palestine and the humanitarian role of sports beyond the sports competition.

The match ended with the victory of the “Palestine Stars” team 6-2. At the end of the event, Rajoub honored Maradona Jr., who was wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh, with an acknowledgment from the Palestinian Football Federation. /message
