The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation has again fined KEDS with 110,000 euros, not within the scope of the verification of electric meters.

“According to the data from the Kosovo Metrology Agency, from the verifications carried out, it was found that 18 meters had expired validity period, 2 meters resulted in withdrawn type approval, while 30 meters had inaccuracies in the date and time. Based on the evidenced findings and in accordance with the Law on Metrology, the Central Market Inspectorate has imposed a fine of 110,000 euros on KEDS. In the meantime, the official verification reports have been submitted to KESCO, with the aim of compensating the damaged consumers. The process of verifying the meters will continue in the next period, until all the complaints submitted to the Consumer Protection Department have been fully examined. the ministry.
