Albania and Israel sign a memorandum of understanding in the field of agriculture and food security

Albania and Israel have signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of agriculture and food security, reports Anadolu.

According to an announcement published by the Embassy of Israel in Albania, this memorandum signed in Tirana marks an “important step” towards strengthening bilateral cooperation, innovation and research and development between the two countries.

“The agreement was signed by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Albania, Fatmir Guri, and the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security of Israel, Oren Lavi. This Memorandum aims to promote cooperation in agricultural technologies, sustainable production practices, food security, knowledge exchange and joint research initiatives, in the interest of both countries,” the announcement states.

According to the announcement, after the signing ceremony, the Israeli delegation met with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Albania, Andis Sala, “where the implementation of agreement and the identification of concrete opportunities for cooperation in the future”.

“This partnership reflects the strong and growing relations between Albania and Israel as well as the joint commitment to innovation, sustainability and sustainable development of the agricultural sector”, the announcement emphasizes.
