Five people were arrested during a large-scale police operation carried out on Tuesday in several cities of Kosovo, as part of the investigation into the case known as “White Star”.

The operation was carried out by the Kosovo Police in several locations, including Pristina, Peja, Prizren, Vitija and Drenas, under the monitoring of the Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo and based on the order of the Basic Court.

Five people were arrested during the operation carried out within the framework of investigations in the case known as “White Star”, on Tuesday in several locations.

The police operation was carried out by the Kosovo Police and included several locations such as; Prishtina, Pejë, Prizren, Viti and Drenas, under the monitoring of the Special Prosecutor’s Office of Kosovo, based on the order issued by the Basic Court.

Five (5) persons have been detained by decision of the special prosecutor for 48 hours, on suspicion of involvement in criminal offenses: · participation or organization of an organized criminal group; · unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotics; as well as money laundering.

During the execution of the search warrant, relevant evidence and specified assets were found and seized, including:· 6 weapons;· 5 magazines;· Narcotics of the cocaine type 9.67 g;· Marijuana seeds 35.18 g;· 239 cartridges 239;· 25 telephones 25;· 7595 cash in euros;· 10 vehicles and 1 motorcycle;· 10 computers;· 13 USB and 1 DVR;· 16 wristwatches, etc.

The operation was supported by EUROPOL, the authorities of Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

Participants of these institutions, together with the prosecutor of the case, monitored the police operation from the scene. The Special Prosecutor’s Office and the Kosovo Police reaffirm their commitment to fighting organized crime and strengthening the rule of law.

Through institutional cooperation and coordinated actions, they will continue to undertake measures for the prevention, investigation and prosecution of criminal offenses, ensuring accountability and respect for legal procedures.
