Today, on June 10, 2026, around 10:00, a traffic accident was reported on “Faik Konica” street in Prizren.

The accident occurred when a passenger vehicle hit a cyclist with the front part of the vehicle.

As a result of the accident, the cyclist, a 78-year-old male, suffered serious bodily injuries. The police units and the emergency team immediately went to the scene, where the victim was offered first medical aid and was then transported for treatment to KKUK in Pristina.

After a few hours, as a result of the injuries received, the victim died.
The case has been notified to the guardian prosecutor by order of which the suspected driver is kept in police custody and by his order the dead body is sent for autopsy.

The police, in close cooperation with the state prosecutor, are conducting investigations to clarify all the circumstances and causes of this traffic accident.
