The checks were carried out from July 6 to 12, with a special focus on motorcycle and scooter drivers, as part of the operational plan for the increased control of their traffic.

According to the Police, fines were imposed for violations of traffic rules, including driving a motorcycle without a driver’s license, without registration, without a protective helmet and other offenses.

During this period, they were also confiscated 15 motorcycles/scooters, mainly due to the lack of proper documentation.

The police have appealed to citizens to respect traffic rules, use protective equipment and adapt their driving to the road conditions.

“Improper motorcycle driving and disobeying traffic rules directly endanger the lives of the driver and all road participants.
