A fire broke out after an Iranian missile hit a factory in an industrial area in the Negev, southern Israel, reports Anadolu.
The Israeli military said air defense systems were activated to intercept missiles that were identified as being fired from Iran.
According to Israeli broadcaster Channel 12, sirens were activated in the cities of Beersheba and Arad, as well as in the Negev region, due to of Iran’s missile attack that targeted southern Israel.
Images shared on social media showed a factory fire in the industrial zone, with smoke rising from the scene.
During Iran’s second attack that targeted central Israel, sirens were heard across a wide area, including the Gush Dan area, known as “Greater Tel Aviv”.
Newspaper Yedioth Ahronot reported that a fire broke out in a residential building in the Rosh HaAyin area near Tel Aviv as a result of the rocket attack.
In Petah Tikva a building was reported damaged, while several streets in Tel Aviv also sustained damage.
In a statement, Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom said teams were dispatched to affected areas in Tel Aviv and Bnei. Brak.
