The Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, through the Department of Investigations, has recommended the suspension of two Kosovo Police officials in two separate cases, who are suspected of committing criminal offenses during the exercise of their duties.
According to the announcement of the PIK, the first case occurred on April 15, 2026 in the Gjilan region, where a police officer with the rank of sergeant is suspected of having committed the criminal offense. “Misuse of official position or authority”.
“After the initial investigations, by order of the State Prosecutor from the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Gjilan, a criminal case was initiated against him”, said the IPK.
Meanwhile, the second case was reported on April 16, 2026 and concerns a police officer with the rank of lieutenant in the Pristina region. According to the IPK, during the interview at the premises of the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo, he was found recording the investigators and the interview process without authorization.
In connection with this case, by order of the State Prosecutor from the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina, criminal proceedings have been initiated for the offense of “Photography and other unauthorized recordings”.
The IPK has recommended the suspension of two police officers, while the investigations related to these cases are ongoing continuation. /Klankosova.tv
