The Central Election Commission has decided to suspend the Aleanca Kosova e Re party, founded by Behgjet Pacolli, as this party has not managed to hold the internal elections within the set deadline.

According to the Central Election Commission of Kosovo, AKR had the obligation to complete the internal election process by February 25, 2026. However, even after the warnings, the party has not announced the holding of its internal Assembly.

With the decision taken, the CEC has given AKR a deadline of 45 days to develop the process of internal elections. If this does not happen within this period, then the party risks being deregistered from the register of political parties.

At the CEC meeting it was emphasized that failure to organize elections within the new period will lead to the removal of the party from the official register
