Chelsea starts rebuilding the team under the direction of Xabi Alonso

Chelsea is entering a very important summer of the market under the guidance of new coach Xabi Alonso, with the aim of building a stronger and more balanced team, especially considering the lack of European competitions next season.

According to “The Athletic”, the London club is looking for at least two experienced reinforcements for the first team, where the priority is a central defender and a versatile striker.

On the list of targets. Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa and Ibrahima Konaté from Liverpool are mentioned, while for Valentin Barco from Strasbourg it is reported that an agreement has already been reached. Meanwhile, Chelsea have brought in three new players: Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon for £40 million, striker Emmanuel Emegha and goalkeeper Mike Penders.

As for departures, Marc Cucurella is one of the names that could leave, while several other centre-backs are also on the list of available players as the club looks to reshuffle and strengthen the squad.
