Details on the suspect behind the incident in Washington

Some first details have been released about the suspect in connection with the dinner incident at the Washington Hilton hotel.

According to CBS News reports, the suspect is believed to be Cole Thomas Allen, a 31-year-old from Torrance, an area in the southwest suburbs of Los Angeles.

He was seen running towards the hall where the event was taking place, before being stopped by security forces.

Washington Mayor, DC announced that the suspect is receiving treatment at a nearby hospital and is in police custody.

Meanwhile, the US Attorney General, Todd Blanche, stated that charges are expected to be brought against him “very soon”. /message
