A case of domestic violence was reported on April 1, 2026 around 17:50 in Gjakovë, where the police arrested a suspect.
According to official information, the person who was handcuffed by the law enforcement agencies is suspected of having abused a Kosovar female victim. The same, under the escort of police officers, has been sent for medical treatment.
In consultation with the guardian prosecutor, the suspect has been ordered to be detained for 48 hours, while investigations related to the case are ongoing.
