“Gaza’s humanitarian space is shrinking further,” Lahbib wrote on American social media company X, adding: “While Israeli military control extended, shifting lines impede aid workers and cut off essential services, including clean water, to those in need. Families are trapped between borders that move without warning.” Her comments came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel currently controls about 60 percent of the Gaza Strip and signaled plans to expand that control to 70 percent, according to media reports.
