From 2026, Germany will impose new restrictions on leaving the country for men aged 17 to 45, according to the Berliner Zeitung newspaper, which published details of the planned legal changes.
As stated, the new law stipulates that men in this age group will not be able to leave Germany for a period longer than three months without special approval from the competent authorities. The restriction applies to all long-term trips, including going for education, employment or private reasons.
