Govt approves increase of contributory pensions

The Government of Kosovo has approved the decision to increase the pension of contributors in accordance with their education.

Arban Abrashi, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare said the basic pension of 140 Euros per month will increase to 158 Euros.

According to the decision the amount of 158 Euros per month will be received by pensioners with low education, 172 to the ones with secondary education, 186 Euros for retirees with higher education and 230 Euros for those with superior education.

The payment will be made retroactively as from January this year. /rtk/
