Israeli forces conduct an incursion north of Quneitra

Monday, April 20th 2026

Israeli forces have entered the northern villages of Quneitra province in Syria on Sunday, establishing temporary checkpoints in the area.

According to local sources, a military unit consisting of three vehicles has advanced towards the village of Al-Ejref, where it has set up a checkpoint at the intersection of the village. At the same time, another Israeli force has established a temporary checkpoint in al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah area, using several military vehicles. No arrests were reported.

This development comes a day after another Israeli force entered the same area, set up a checkpoint on the Trinjeh-Mazare’ al-Amal road, searched passers-by and then withdrew.

Israel continues to commit repeated violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria.

Syrian authorities have repeatedly called for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from their territory, emphasizing that any action in southern Syria is invalid and without legal effect according to international law. /message
