In her New Year address to Kosovo Assembly MPs, country’s president Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, called several times for the political parties in the Assembly to sit down and negotiate the future of the country.

With a political stability, the citizens will feel safer, she said.

Jahjaga recalled that she had started this year by urging Kosovo citizens to not leave the country, while she was closing it by urging the MPs to sit down, dialogue and find a way out of the current political situation.

“We will not turn violence into a political tool. At the same time no one has the right to harm the country, “Jahjaga said.

Several times during her speech, President urged the MPs to not lose time and sit down and reach a basic consensus of dialogue in order to consolidate democratic Kosovo.
