Pristina – Three-day long manifestations of ‘KLA Epopee’ have begun at ‘Adem Jashari’ military barracks in Prishtina.
Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said in his speech on this occasion that ‘the days of KLA Epopee did not stop through 12 June 1999, when Kosovo got finally liberated and together with the support received by the democratic world started a new phase of state-building, peace and development.’ Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude for the democratic countries’ support, United States of America and NATO, which in the most difficult days ‘extended their support and we jointly sealed our freedom,’ he said.
“17th anniversary of Adem Jashari and his family fall finds Kosovo with a lot of achievements, Kosovo was recognized by 108 countries worldwide, it has developed close relations with a lot of countries in the world and this way it is strengthening its international subjectivity and reaching tangible results at every field of life,’ Mustafa emphasized. KLA transformation into Kosovo Protection Force and the late into Kosovo Security Forces is only one of the numerous stories of a free, sovereign and democratic Kosovo, underlined Mustafa.
‘Understandably, the process of KSF advance will continue with the establishment of Kosovo Armed Forces, which will be modern military forces, equipped with the all needed qualities of a capable army that ensures stability and peace as well as participate in humanitarian missions and with the goal of having a seat in NATO,’ said Mustafa. KSF Commander, Kadri Kastrati, too, said Kosovo Security Forces are in the right path of transforming into Kosovo Armed Forces (FAK). According to him, next KLA Epopee, will find the KSF transformed into an army./RTK/
