In state reserves, Kosovo government has managed to stock wheat products for a 20 days period, whereas other food items are ensured for only 15 thousand residents.

Kosovo citizens need to pray that they do not have to face any natural disaster let alone war, because in such case available food stocks in the country would only be sufficient for 5 hours, or 20 days for 20,000 residents. State reserves have no drugs available, KosovaPress reports.

In state reserves, Kosovo government has managed to stock wheat products for a 20 days period, whereas other food items are ensured for only 15 thousand residents, while oil and its derivatives for 3 days of total annual imports.
Other non-food items foreseen on the lists are planned for the needs of 20 thousand inhabitants. However, the list of reserve goods does not include drugs. Officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry say the list of necessary medicines is expected to be included in the state reserve goods commencing from 2016.
