The Government of Kosovo has approved the bill on ratification of the agreement on establishment of the Western Balkans Fund.
Part of the agreement is Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kosovo’s chief diplomat Enver Hoxhaj said that this fund would support projects in the fields of education and culture.
“The creation of this Balkans Fund aims to promote the culture in the region as well as to deepen the relations with the neighboring countries, which helps them towards the European Union membership,” said Hoxhaj.
Although the amount of the fund were not disclosed, after its approval by the Government, the draft law is expected to be sent to the Assembly for approval.
