Party leader Fuad Ramiqi is among a number of Islamic leaders seized by police in the majority-Muslim country.
Kosovo Police on Wednesday arrested Fuad Ramiqi, leader of Levizja Islamike Bashkohu [Islamic Movement Unite], LISBA, a Muslim organization that has transformed itself into a political party.
The police operation is still ongoing; however, media reports said that besides Ramiqi, a number of other persons were also arrested, including prominent imams as:
1. Sabahudin Selimi, imam, Viti.
2. Enes Goga, imam, Peje.
3. Eroll Nesimi, imam and administrator at perkujtimi.net.
4. Idriz Bilibani, bosnian nationality imam and administrator at stazomislama.com.
5. Leonard (Ebu Bekir) Ruli, imam, Prizren.
6. Dardan Gjuka, imam, Peje.
7. Shefqet Krasniqi, imam at Grand Mosque in Pristina.
8. Shefki Koraçi, imam, Kaçanik.
9. Mazllam Mazllami, imam, Prizren.
10. Bedri Robaj, imam, Pristina.
11. Ekrem Avdiu, imam, Mitrovica.
12. Enis Rama, imam and director of Peace TV on albanian language.
