Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Macedonci, has evaluated the report of the United States Department, for the promotion of regional stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans.

According to Macedonci, this confirms the continuous support of the US for the development and transformation of the KSF into a modern and professional force, reports IndeksOnline.

“This assessment represents a clear evidence of the progress achieved by the Republic of Kosovo in strengthening its defense capabilities, in accordance with Euro-Atlantic standards and in close partnership with the US and our allies. American support has been and remains crucial in our journey towards building a force capable of protecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of our citizens,” said Macedonia.

We welcome the State Department’s Report to Congress on the United States’ Policy for Promoting Regional Stability and Prosperity in the Western Balkans. which confirms the continued support of the United States of America for the development and transformation of the Kosovo Security Force into a modern, professional and multi-ethnic force of territorial defense.

This assessment presents a clear evidence of the progress achieved by the Republic of Kosovo in strengthening its defense capacities, in accordance with Euro-Atlantic standards and in close partnership with the USA and our allies. American support has been and remains crucial in our journey towards building a force capable of protecting the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of our citizens.

Also, we highly appreciate the recognition of Kosovo’s role as a contributor to international security. Our commitment to join multinational efforts to maintain peace and stability proves that Kosovo is a reliable partner and an active contributor to regional and global security. This clearly reflects the transformation of Kosovo from a consumer of security to its provider.

The Republic of Kosovo will continue to invest in the development of defense capacities, in strengthening cooperation with strategic allies and in advancing our steadfast aspiration for full Euro-Atlantic integration.
