No EU for Serbia without Kosovo recognition

Spain does not recognize Kosovo’s independence because of Catalonia, but this is funny because Catalan people will be deciding freely about their future, no matter if Spain admits or not Kosovo’s independence.
This is what Catalan MEP Josep-Maria Terricabras told ‘Zeri’. Terricabras is convinced that Kosovo membership in the European Union is the best guarantee for stability and development in Kosovo and the region. According to him, even Serbia, in case it aims EU integration, would be forced to recognize Kosovo.
According to Catalan MEP, the European Parliament must act quickly in terms of visa liberalization with Kosovo. Kosovo remaining the only isolated country in Europe represents a non-fair treatment for Kosovars, he says in an exclusive interview for ‘Zeri’.
Catalan MEP also spoke about the relations between Kosovo and Serbia and conditions that the latter has to meet in its course towards integration.
