The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has stated that on May 26, the Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference will be held in Brussels, which according to him “successfully seals the introductory phase” and opens the final phase of membership negotiations, reports Anadolu.

In a reaction on social networks, Rama has emphasized that this is another day of pride for Albania, for the parliamentary majority, for the government, for the independent institutions, and according to him “for those who represent them at the negotiation table for Albania 2030 in the EU”.

“On May 26 in Brussels, the Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference successfully marks the opening phase and opens the closing phase of the membership negotiations. Because unlike what those who always lose in the end talk about, the European Albania we are building is a success story, which is written with vision, work and dedication, step by step. and in the end it always wins”, wrote Rama. Speaking about the claims and reactions from the opposition parties in Albania regarding the negotiation process those who go with that mindset also lied. They lost again. And Albania won again.

Albania has been a candidate country for EU membership since 2014 and aims to complete the negotiations by 2027, while aiming for full membership in the EU by 2030.
