Serbia to recognize Kosovo’s diplomas as of Friday

As of next Friday, April 1, the state of Serbia is expected to recognize diplomas from primary up to the doctoral level that were issued by the Republic of Kosovo.

The news was confirmed to KosovaPress by Kosovo Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, adviser Arjeta Rexhaj.

Kosovo and Serbia agreed on September 2015, on the mutual recognition of university diplomas, which Kosovo hopes will improve the job prospects of ethnic Albanians in Serbia.

The agreement includes university and high school diplomas as well as the fifth qualification level based on the European Qualification Framework.

The diplomas from Kosovo and Serbia will be certified by the European University Association, EUA, and be recognized afterwards by both countries in terms of further education and employment. /rtk/
