The accused for threatening Kurti is sentenced to six months in prison

The Basic Court in Pristina, Special Department, has sentenced Kadri Xhemajli to six months effective imprisonment, after he pleaded guilty to threatening the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

According to the indictment of the Special Prosecutor’s Office, on October 22, 2025, Xhemajli had published on the Facebook social network a comment with threatening content against Prime Minister Kurti, threatening him with deprivation of life.

Preliminarily, special prosecutor Bekim Kodraliu stated that all the legal conditions for approving the plea agreement had been met.

According to him, the accused had understood the nature and gravity of the criminal offense, as well as the consequences arising from the admission of guilt.

The agreement was also supported by Xhemajli’s defender, lawyer Rinor Arifi, who assessed that the legal conditions were met. for its approval.

Xhemajli was accused of the criminal offense of “Intimidation”./
