The incumbent government has approved the proposal-decision for the allocation of 3 million euros, in order to cover the border police, namely the Green Card, for the emigrants who come to Kosovo during the summer season.
The acting Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, has announced that these funds are part of the support measures for the diaspora within the Economic Revival Package.
According to him, the measure will be implemented starting from July and aims to ease expenses for compatriots who enter Kosovo by car during the summer period.
“Starting from July and onward, we as the government allocate funds to cover the border police or what is called the Green Card for our emigrants, who enter Kosovo by car to visit or stay during this period. Therefore, as such, the proposed decision foresees the allocation of budget funds in the amount of 3 million euros, for the implementation of measure 4.5, the support of emigrants from the Economic Revival Package”, he said.
This measure, according to the Government, aims to ease the financial burden for emigrants and encourage their visits during the summer season in the country.
