A citizen of Kosovo, wanted with an international arrest warrant for the criminal offense of “attempted murder”, has been extradited from Spain to Kosovo.

The news was announced by the Police of Kosovo, who announced that the extradition is carried out on Wednesday, in cooperation with the Spanish authorities and the institutions of justice”. On 06.08.2026, the judiciary ordered the extradition of the Kosovar citizen from Spain to Kosovo. According to the police, the suspect was arrested by the Spanish authorities after being wanted through INTERPOL with an international warrant issued by the justice institutions of Kosovo.

The police inform that the extradition was carried out in accordance with the legislation in force and the cooperation between the institutions of Kosovo and Spain.

After arriving in Kosovo, the suspect was handed over. to the competent units of the Kosovo Police in the Prishtina Region for further legal procedures.
