The Muslim World League has welcomed the announcement of the ceasefire in Lebanon, made by US President Donald Trump, reaffirming its full solidarity with Lebanon in efforts to achieve security, stability and full sovereignty throughout its territory.

In a statement published on Friday on the official website, the Secretary General of the organization, Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, described this step as a positive development that supports peaceful solutions and helps save civilian lives.

Al-Issa called on all parties to fully respect the agreement, seeing it as a step towards restoring lasting stability in Lebanon.

The ceasefire came into force on Thursday and will last for a 10-day period, while it has been widely welcomed by Arab countries and the international community. /message
