According to the announcement of the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prishtina, the arrest is the result of investigative actions carried out in coordination with the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption.

“After the development of investigative actions related to suspicions of abuse of position or official authority, exceeding powers and falsification of official documents, “one (1) person was arrested today”, the announcement of the Prosecutor’s Office states. for several economic operators for the import of biocidal and pesticide products, which are prohibited for use in the Republic of Kosovo according to the list of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) of the European Union.

The suspect, with the initials N.M., is being investigated for criminal offenses “Misuse of official position or authority”, according to Article 414 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as “Forgery of an official document”, according to Article 427 of the KPRK.

The prosecutor’s office announced that the arrest was made by the Kosovo Police, while by order of the State Prosecutor, the suspect has been detained for 48 hours”.

“The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prishtina, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police and other competent institutions, remains committed to fighting crime and corruption, and will take all necessary actions investigation in accordance with the legislation in force”, it says at the end of the announcement.
