The national team of the United States of America started the adventure in the 2026 World Cup in an excellent way, triumphing 4-1 against Paraguay in the opening match of Group D.

The absolute protagonist was striker Folarin Balogun, author of two goals, while captain Christian Pulisic contributed with an assist and was among the best on the field.

The Americans took the lead in the first minutes thanks to a Paraguayan defender Damian Bobadilla’s own goal, after a beautiful action by Pulisic.

Then Balogun doubled the numbers after an accurate assist from the Milan star, while he also scored the third goal at the end of the first half.

In the second half, Paraguay narrowed the gap with Mauricio, but the USA did not allow surprises.

In the extra minutes, Gio Reyna e sealed the final score 4-1, giving coach Mauricio Pochettino’s team an ideal start to the tournament.

With this convincing victory, the USA takes the top spot in the group and sends a strong signal to rivals at the World Cup taking place at home.
