The Security Council of the United Nations will consider today morning at a hearing the quarterly report of the Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, on developments in Kosovo.

In the report, Ban Ki-moon expresses concern about the delay for the Special Court establishment and says that this “undermines the image of Kosovo to set an example of justice and accountability.”

This report is the third this year and 65th in a row since the adoption of Resolution 1244 in June 1999, which obliges the Secretary General to report to the Security Council every three months on developments in Kosovo.

However the latest report of the Secretary Ban is delayed and exceeded (even as news), as its main concern is the ‘concern over the delay in the establishment of the Special Court.’ The report covers developments from the period of April 16 to July 15 and was sent to the members of the Security Council before the vote approving the amendment to the Court by Kosovo Assembly.
