The “Week of Science” conference started today in Prishtina, with the aim of promoting young scientists and researchers.

At the opening of the conference, President of the country, Hashim Thaci declared that this year, the Week of Science relates to a number of successes that the country has marked by adhering in different international organizations.

Among others, president Thaci said that Kosovo has zealous scientists who through their research, will mark significant successes and will enable the paving of a clear development perspective for Kosovo.

Meanwhile, minister of Education, Science and Technology, Arsim Bajrami said that Kosovo is a country of great opportunities and according to him, the state must invest in research and scientific developments in order for young generations to have great hopes.

“As a young state, Kosovo is the country of great opportunities, because we have a human capital, we have very intelligent youth to which we are obliged to offer quality education which is combined with the scientific component”, he declared.

“Week of Science” will continue its proceedings for three days in a row. /ibna/
