World Bank reaffirms support for Kosovo

Pristina – The Prime Minister thanked the World Bank for the support given through various projects, including the development of energy sector in Kosovo.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, hosted in a meeting on Friday the regional Vice President of the World Bank, Laura Tuck, accompanied by the Regional Director of the World Bank, Ellen Goldstein, and WB manager for Kosovo, Jan- Peter Olters. During the meeting, they discussed about further cooperation and support of Kosovo by the World Bank. Prime Minister Mustafa informed the Vice President Tuck on the progress in Kosovo and priorities of the Government Program of Kosovo. The Prime Minister thanked the World Bank for the support given through various projects, including the development of energy sector in Kosovo. Prime Minister Mustafa also expressed the focus of the Government of Kosovo in economic development, creating new jobs, strengthening the rule of law, European integration processes and reforms in health, in education and in many other areas of life. The regional Vice President of the World Bank, Laura Tuck, praised the cooperation between Kosovo and the World Bank, ensuring further support for development projects in Kosovo. The Vice President Tuck was also interested about Kosovo Government Program and its implementation./RTK/
