The Basic Court in Mitrovicë has sentenced the defendant with the initials D.B. to 13 years in prison, after finding him guilty of the criminal offenses of “Attempted aggravated murder” and “Unauthorized possession, control or possession of weapons”.

The verdict It was announced on July 23, 2026 by the chairman of the court, Xhemajl Jusufi.

In the notice of the Basic Court of Mitrovicë, D.B. was found guilty of attempted murder, an event that took place in the village of Stanoc in Vushtrris.

According to the indictment of the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovicë, the defendant had attempted to take his son’s life, while during the incident he also possessed a weapon without authorization.

The case was reported on July 28. 2025. After the event, D.B. had remained on the run for several months, until he was arrested on November 14, 2025 after an operative work of the law enforcement agencies.

At the time of the arrest, the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Mitrovicë had informed that D.B. was suspected of the criminal offenses “Attempted aggravated murder” and “Unauthorized possession, control or possession of weapons”.

With the verdict announced on July 23, 2026, the Basic Court in Mitrovicë sentenced D.B. with 13 years of imprisonment for the criminal offenses for which he was found guilty.
